Christmas 2008

Our family Christmas picture was taken by Will's wonderful mom last week. She takes the best pics. It is so hard to get everyone to look at the camera and smile at the same time! Especially with a baby! So this is the one that we ended up chosing for our card.....finally. I like to do everything last minute you know. Including my shopping! Ugghh. I am getting that done on Wed. Wish me luck! Photobucket

Live Nativity

Our church is having a live nativity this year and I am so excited! I have been going there since I was born and I don't ever remember us having one! So this year we decided to do it. Will and I are going to be Mary and Joseph.(no speaking or singing for us!!haha) We are Baptist so OF COURSE we are eating afterwards! Please join us as we celebrate our Savior's birth! It is at Bethany Baptist Church in Bishopville. Our beautiful old church is pretty far out in the country, so if you need directions just let me know! And be sure to stay for yummy barbeque afterwards! SATURDAY DECEMBER 20TH AT 6:00PM. Merry Christmas!

Elliott is 3 months old!

I can't believe how fast our little girl is growing!! She is smiling and laughing so much. At her last checkup she weighed almost 13 pounds! She has been sleeping through the night for a few weeks now and that is just awesome. (I probably just jinxed myself bigtime) I remember being so nervous about having another baby. Will I be able to love her just as much as Connor? Can I handle another one? Will I remember what to do? As soon as I held her, all of the feelings flooded back from the first delivery. That instant love and joy. And at that moment, my heart made plenty of room for her too. Having 2 kids is definitely different, but so wonderful! I am so thankful that God chose us to be parents of these two beautiful angels. We could not ask for more! Here are some updated pics of my little monkeys.PhotobucketPhotobucketPhotobucketPhotobucket

Halloween

I have been without a computer and it is about to kill me!! I am so used to checking out the blogs everyday!! I have been using Will's work computer when it is available. I am finally posting some halloween pics!PhotobucketMy Optimus Prime! PhotobucketMaddie, Jack, and Connor PhotobucketOur sweet little pumpkin

Field Trip!!

Connor's K-4 class at Robert E. Lee went on their first field trip of the year today!! We went to the pumpkin patch in Mcbee and had a blast!! They got to hear a couple of stories about pumpkins and how they grow and then off for the hayride to pick out their very own pumpkins. It was pretty chilly, but we really had fun. Then of course we had to purchase some goodies from inside!! PhotobucketConnor and Lacie PhotobucketPhotobucket

Fall fun at Prestwood

We had such a great time at the Prestwood country club wiener roast!! They also had a hayride that Connor loved! Elliott came along too, but headed back home with YaYa during the hayride. It got a little too cool for her and I think she had enough by that time!! PhotobucketPhotobucket

camping trip

We took a little weekend camping trip to the mountains a few weekends ago. Elliott stayed with my mom, but next year she will definitely go!! We wanted to take Connor to Ghost Town in Maggie Valley. We had so much fun and it made me remember going there when I was little!! We stayed in my grandparents pop-up camper, which Connor loved!! Sure beats a tent! The weather was perfect and the leaves were just starting to change colors. PhotobucketPhotobucketPhotobucketPhotobucketPhotobucketPhotobucket
I just wanted to thank everyone for your prayers for my friend Angie's mom. Her mother, Maggie, passed away today. Please keep this wonderful family in your prayers. Mrs. Rogers was a wonderful woman who will never be forgotten. She was loved by all who knew her!

Prayer request

My dear friend Angie's mom is in need of prayer!! Her name is Maggie and she had surgery to remove a benign brain tumor on Thursday. The swelling in her brain has not gone down like they had hoped and she is now in an induced coma. They really need your prayers at this time. Please pray that God will heal her and please also pray for her family. They are a strong christian family and have totally put this in God's hands. I know they would appreciate your prayers. Thanks!!

Praying for Bayler

Most of the people who visit my blog know about this precious little boy named Bayler. He is 5 years old and such a sweetheart! His parents found out last week that he has stage 4 neuroblastoma. They are at the Richland Children's hospital. For those of you who don't know about this little angel, start praying now! Let's pray for complete healing of this horrible cancer. Pray for his loving family as they go through this! Photobucket www.caringbridge.org/visit/baylerteal

Our baby girl is getting so big! I can't believe she will be 5 weeks old tomorrow! Here are a few new pics of our little angel.PhotobucketPhotobucketPhotobucketPhotobucketMe and my babies!

Our new pet....for now

Will caught a baby frog for Connor and put it in a small aquarium. It is sooooo tiny and cute and is in my kitchen!! Connor named it Transformer. What a funny name! I think we may be releasing him back into the wilderness today though. (before he kicks the bucket and is unable to hop away) I think we need to get some fish or something.PhotobucketCan you see the tiny green spec??PhotobucketSuch a funny guy!

Thanks!

Thanks girls for all of your advice on our tummy issues!! It really helps to hear about how other moms deal with this kind of yucky stuff! She has been on the Nutramigen for a couple of days, and it is really helping. Although I tried her on the powder form yesterday, and that was NOT a good idea. She can only tolerate the liquid form. What is up with that?? Oh well, I don't mind paying a few extra bucks, if it helps!! I know things will get better!! Thanks again for "listening" to my complaints. It makes me feel better!!

mommy advice....

It is so amazing how every child is so different. Of course, I only have one other child to compare to. So I think back to the way Connor was as a baby and expect this one to go the same way, I guess. Not so! We are having a time with this sweet baby girl and her tummy! Poor little thing just has the worst gas and seems soooo uncomfortable during and after her feedings. I have tried almost every formula and now we are on the nutramigen. I am hoping it will help, but so far it is the same. Of course we use mylicon and have tried gripe water, but nothing seems to help! I just hate that her poor little tummy hurts. She cries a good bit of the time and we pretty much just hold her all the time. Do any of my mommy friends have any other advice for me?? I am hoping she will just outgrow this very soon. She is certainly getting enough of something though, because she weighed 10lbs 10oz today at her 4 week check up!! My girl loves her groceries!!haha

Labor day fun!

Will, Connor and I went to Lake Wateree today for a little boating and swimming. We had a great time and Elliott got a little hang time with Grammie.(my mom) We had a fun picnic on the boat and Connor and Daddy swam in the lake. Mommy does not do lake water....unless someone is drowning. Anyway, we had so much fun with our little man today. Can't wait until Elliott is old enough to enjoy the water with us!PhotobucketPhotobucketPhotobucketPhotobucketPhotobucket

2 weeks old

Our little girl is 2 weeks old today! She is so sweet and we are having so much fun with her! We are enjoying our little family. God has blessed us with two beautiful and sweet children. We are so happy!PhotobucketPhotobucketPhotobucket

First day of K-4!!

Today was Connor's first day of school! He has never been to preschool before, so we didn't know what to expect! He was so excited this morning when I woke him up. He jumped into his clothes and ate a little breakfast, and was ready to go! Daddy was able to go with us. Will stayed in the car with Elliott and I took my big boy into his classroom. He jumped right in with the other kids, gave me a kiss goodbye and gave me a look of....ok mom, you can leave now. I knew he would be fine, it was me who was having a hard time letting go!! I made it all the way out to the car and then I felt my lip poke out and tears filled my eyes. I thought I was safe from anyone seeing me, but then I looked up and saw my great friend Lee standing there talking to Will!! SO busted. But of course she knew the deal, and made me feel better! I love that he is going to the same school I did. And there are even a couple of kids in his class that belong to my friends! We are going to have a great year and he is ready to go back for more tomorrow!!PhotobucketPhotobucketPhotobucket

Growing

Our little girl is growing! She LOVES to eat and definitely lets us know when it's time! That is pretty much the only time she cries. She sleeps most of the time...for now. Connor is getting adjusted to everything. It has to be a lot for him to take in, having a new baby in the house! It certainly is for us. I am proud of him. He loves to sing to Elliott and kiss her and hold her. He is such a great big brother. I need to get some new pics on here soon!

Mary Elliott

We had such a great day yesterday! After the epidural of course! I only had to push like 3 times and she was here! SO different than last time! We still can't believe she is here. Elliott is doing great and she is really getting the hang of eating!! We hope to go home today around 3:00 or so. Here are a few pics of our exciting day!PhotobucketPhotobucketPhotobucketPhotobucketPhotobucketPhotobucketPhotobucket

She's here!

Our baby girl is here!! Beautiful Elliott arrived today at 2:40pm! She weighed 7lbs 8oz and is 19 inches long. She has lots of light brown hair for all of those bows we have for her. Connor is very excited about his little sister and held her for a "whole" 60 secs. I think he is a little nervous, but still very excited! We will try and post some pics later on tonight. Thanks for all of your thoughts, messages, and prayers!

Doctor visit

I had my weekly visit today and everything is still looking good. I am 3cm and getting a "tad" bit uncomfortable. I feel like a big fat whale and just turning over in the bed at night is the biggest ordeal ever!! Just ask Will, who by the way is too sweet and I don't deserve him! I might add that the hormones this time are WAY out of control. I think I was a little nicer last time. But anyway. If I don't have her before Monday, I am going to be induced at 7:00am. I won't be 39 weeks yet, but my doctor is on call that day and it just seemed to work out better. We'll see what happens!!

Summer Fun

Connor is still learning to swim. Hopefully we will be able to take some swimming lessons when everything calms down. We have done a little pool hopping this summer and there is always a sprinkler somewhere to cool off with!! He and Maddie enjoyed some cool water at Grammie and GaGa's a couple of weeks ago.(my parents) I grew up playing in the sprinkler and water hose and remember it being loads of fun. I think Connor and Maddie liked it too!! Even Will enjoyed an afternoon in the pool relaxing. (note the pink float!)PhotobucketPhotobucketPhotobucketPhotobucket
