4 year old shots...

Connor had his big boy 4 year old shots yesterday at Dr. Surka's office. I must say, my little man does exceptionally well at the doctor's office. I was way more anxious than he was, since I knew what was coming. I sort of prepared him by telling him he was getting medicine in his legs so he could go to school in the fall. I left out the part that the medicine comes out of sharp little needles!! Anyway, he totally did great. He just sat there and smiled when she put on the cool bandaids! And then asked me in the parking lot if we could come back to Dr. "Circles" office tomorrow and get more stickers. Absolutely not! My poor heart can't take it! His Daddy and I were so proud of his bravery!!

Nursery update

Let's see, update. Nothing has been done!! We were about to start painting, and just decided to switch rooms! We had Will's "office" in the spare bedroom with a bed in there just taking up space. So we are going to put Elliot in that room and give Will the other room for his office. So now we have to empty out that room and put the bed somewhere! I don't know why we thought we needed that bed up anyway, what with all the overnight guests we have! So I'm excited she will have a bigger room now. And of course the crown prince of the Newsome house has the biggest room. He has to with all of his junk! We are on another "toy ban" around the house. Will won't let me buy him anything new. But sometimes we do sneak in a little loot. I LOVE making him the spoiled little mess he is!

Happy Father's Day!!

Will and Connor just left to have an early breakfast at church for Father's day. And since I am home alone, I thought I would post a little something about my wonderful hubby. Will is such a wonderful father and husband. Anyone who could put up with me, right?? He is such a loving and caring person, and always puts us before anything else. He works very hard and we really appreciate all he does for us. Thank you sweetheart. You are amazing and we love you!

Slip and Slide

Connor got a new slip and slide, and we just HAD to try it out after everyone left. Connor would not try it until Daddy did it first.

Connor's Playset

Of course, I have to post a pic of the Playset!! Daddy spent a few hot evenings working on this thing! He did have a friend to help though. (thanks Andrew!) I keep meaning to put some new pics of the house on here, but all I have is the back of it at the party!! So here it is!

Connor's Birthday!!

Connor had such a great time with his friends and family today! His party was HOT, but such fun. He got a new playset yesterday, and all sorts of wonderful gifts today! Thanks everyone!! VBS

We had an exciting day at bible school Saturday!! We have a one day event because our church is small. And what a long and hot day it was!! But we had so much fun. Will and I taught the preschool class. The ages ran from 4-6 and included Connor and our niece Maddie! Of course with that age the lessons were short, but the look on their faces as I went over the lesson I will never forget! The first two lessons, they actually looked somewhat interested in what I was saying! So I of course think I am a master teacher.(SO just kidding) The last lesson was after an outdoor playtime, and it was over. I had lost them. But I think they got the main point I was trying to make. And they had fun!! Just watching them learn about God's love and having fun was worth it all, even if it was 120 degrees outside!! I wish I had some pics to post of my little people. We were almost at church and I looked around the car for my camera and it was no where to be found!! I was so upset. Hopefully, someone else has some pics of the day for me!

Ultrasound

I had another ultrasound today, and everything looked great! We've been a little nervous since the last one, so we were glad to have everything rechecked!! And they took another peek, and it's STILL a girl! Just wanted to make sure before we start with the pink paint! Connor is getting excited and asks all the time if we are going to the hospital to "get her out." I wish. He sings to her and likes to feel her kicking. We can't wait to meet Elliot!
